What can I do to protect my home and vehicle?

What do I do if I find a lost/stray animal?

You can try calling Animal Control, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Phone: 217-384-2320 ext. 364.

If there is an emergency involving an animal while Animal Control is not on duty, you can call 217-333-8911 or 911 for assistance.

Who do I call if there's a dead animal on my property or in the street?

You may remove the animal yourself and discard it in the trash. Make sure to wear gloves and do not have contact with the animal. If you have any questions or need assistance, or if it's on public property, call the Urbana Police Department at 217-384-2320. Learn more about wildlife services.
